Philanthropy

Alpha Sigma Alpha prides itself on its strong commitment to service and giving. ASA has 4 national philathropies in which it is affiliated with. Our chapter works closely with each of these organizations in an effort to raise and money and awareness for these great causes.

Whether it's coaching at the Special Olympics, running 5Ks with Girls on the Run, making crafts and games for the children at the S. June Smith Center or raising money for the Alpha Sigma Alpha foundation, Zeta Chi is extremely dedicated to serving these organizations. Not only that, our chapter also supports other organizations as well by attending events such as the Light the Night Walk, the Breast Cancer Walk and Relay For Life. We've even adoped a highway, where we help to keep the surrounding area clean!

Each semseter, Alpha Sigma Alpha holds a week long event known as DOT days, or Donating our Time Days. This is a time for our chapter to branch out and help other organizations in need. We do things such as helping to renovate an old nun's quarters at a local church or serving the less fortunate at a soup kitchen.

"Life is not taking in only; it is giving out too. It is giving ourselves – freely – to other people, giving ourselves in comradeship, in understanding, in joy, in love."
